About me
Paul Spara has 15 years of IT experience, serving in a multitude of roles within the non-profit and critical infrastructure sectors. As the Senior Manager of Technology Services at Pittsburgh Water, Paul is responsible for technical support within the business network. He is also responsible for overseeing the network and server infrastructure as well as cybersecurity efforts across both the business and operational technology environments.
Paul specializes in adapting enterprise IT concepts to meet the unique needs and challenges of medium size businesses. His expertise lies in translating complex systems into practical, scalable solutions tailored for smaller IT operations. Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology from Penn State University, a master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Enterprise Technology Management from the University of Colorado, and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Maryville University.
While serving at Pittsburgh Water, Paul became passionate about cybersecurity. His passion spawned from the need to help facilitate a culture to protect the digital assets within Pittsburgh Water. While Paul is not at work, he makes continuous learning efforts constantly seeking new knowledge, skills, and strategies to stay ahead of the ever-changing threats within the current cybersecurity landscape.
